In recent episodes of the ITVBe show, we've seen Jake telling Ferne to stay out of their business, as he attempted to win back girlfriend of six-and-half years Chloe.
Ferne had insisted she wasn't getting involved and certainly wasn't whispering things in Chloe's ear one way or another.
Now, Chloe has told the TOWIE official website: "I don't like Ferne and Jake rowing. It puts me in the middle. It's hard because I know Jake has my back and I know Ferne has my back.
"If I'm honest, I don't think Ferne is involved in my relationship. She just tried to guide me in the right way, I suppose. She tried to be there. And she has been there. She's been a good friend and had my back.
"I don't think Ferne has been in my ear. I can hold my own and I know what I'm doing. Even though I'm a softie and laid back, nobody persuades me how to be or what to do. I'm just my own person trying to live life."
On the series finale of TOWIE on Sunday night, we saw Jake becoming tearful as he told Chloe he thought he was losing her.
Chloe replied: "I told you, I just need some time. That's all it is. It's not that you're losing me. I just want some time on my own out of respect for myself. It doesn't matter how much people love each other sometimes. You have to get on as well."
Jake told Chloe he was happy to give her space: "I want to be with you. I want to try to make it work. I'm trying to make it work. It's all I can do. "
"It's not going to happen in two weeks," replied Chloe. "I have to get trust back."
Jake said he would give Chloe space - and suggested they go on a first date again.
Unfortunately for us, TOWIE is over for the series - so we'll have to wait to see what happens next.
