Just one week after host Dermot O'Leary made the shock announcement he was leaving the show, reports say Cheryl's place on the judging panel is safe - although she may be the only remaining familiar face...
According to The Sun, Simon has told Cheryl she'll remain on The X Factor panel 'at all costs'.
Big boss and fellow judge Simon has apparently told the 31-year-old singer that she is a linchpin for the talent show's new season.
Sadly, however, Mel B and Louis Walsh's positions are not believed to be as secure.
A source told the newspaper: "They haven't signed a deal yet but Simon, Cheryl and ITV are all on the same page.
"But that's really bad news for Mel. She had a good first year but bosses want a new line-up."
While Cheryl has not publicly commented on the reports, she did take to social media to send a positive message to her fans.
Alongside an inspirational motto [pictured below], she wrote: "Think of the kind of things you would've thought about, loved, liked, said ect 10 years ago I think most people would be surprised at how much they've changed/grown if you could think and feel or even look they way they did then..
"Imagine standing in the same place for all that time !! Growth can be painful too, at times! But it's all worth it when the storms pass. Be proud of how much you've grown and enjoy the ups and downs to appreciate what we call life #deep #howifeel."
Simon has not confirmed or denied The X Factor rumours either, but we know for a fact that he must currently be looking for a new host... And former contestant Olly Murs is hotly tipped to be taking Dermot's place.
Olly recently confessed he would only consider taking on the role if TV wife Caroline Flack were by his side.
