There's no word on where they are holidaying but it looks like a calm, tranquil place to unwind after a week of headlines, tears and emotions running high. For fans, that is.

We were all shocked when Zayn announced he was quitting One Direction after five years in the successful boyband. He made his announcement midway through the group's world tour, after he had already been signed off with stress and left the tour.

Zayn said he wanted to live a more normal life, adding to The Sun: "I did try to do something that I wasn't happy doing for a while, for the sake of maybe other people's happiness. And that was mainly the fans. I only ever tried to do it for the fans, and it was only ever for them.

"It's not that I've turned my back on them or anything, it's just that I just can't do that anymore because it's not real to me."

As well as quitting 1D, Zayn was also in the headlines last month following allegations he'd cheated on Perrie. Photos surfaced of him holding hands with another female abroad and a model came forward to share her story.

Zayn, however, denied it.

He tweeted: "I'm 22 years old... I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous f**ks in this world. I'm sorry for what it looks like x."

X Factor mentor Sinitta, meanwhile, has said: "Zayn was always the romantic, spiritual one, always took his relationships very seriously, was always very gentle. I think the relationship is important to him.

"He and Perrie, that is a very prominent relationship for him and for that to be threatened in any way - especially when you're travelling around the world and all the stress and drama of that - you need an anchor, some stability somewhere so I think that would have rocked him a lot."
