Earlier today, the former flames sparked speculation they had got back together, after being spotted kissing on a beach in Wales.
The pair certainly looked very cosy during their cast trip away to Porthcawl, but Chloe has shot down claims the pair are officially an item again, exclusively telling Reveal: "No, we're just friends!"
Care to explain that smooch then, Chloe?
"He was running into the water, it was really cold and he pecked up for a kiss," she said.
Hmm, we're not sure we're too convinced!
The pair dated for over six years and during the last three years of their relationship, things had been very on and off. Since then, Jake and Chloe have both made their TOWIE debut and it seems things are still tense between the former couple.
Jake wasted no time in kissing Lauren Pope and then denied the kiss ever happened - upsetting Chloe. He then wasn't too happy to hear Chloe had been flirting with Mario Falcone in the gym, leading her to slam her ex-beau for wanting to "have his cake and eat it".
Unsurprisingly a little frustrated by his actions, Chloe told us she's used to Jake kicking off when it comes to her and other guys.
"I'm used to it," she said. "It's happened in the past. It's one rule for them and one rule for us, obviously!"
Since then, Jake has come clean about his kiss with Lauren, telling Chloe that he wants her back. The starlet was left "confused" by his declaration to get their romance back on track, especially as she had heard rumours Jake and Lauren had shared a bit more than a kiss.
Jake quickly told Chloe the claims were "absolute b*llocks and lies", while Lauren too insisted she never bedded Jake via Twitter.
Despite the recent rumours, Chloe told us things between her and her ex-boyfriend are now "fine".
She added: "Things have been fine with us. It's hard because Jake has done wrong, but it's also hard for me to see him upset and saying that he wants me back. I would never say never, but at the minute I just want to be on my own."
Although she did reveal she has now unblocked Jake from her WhatsApp!
While Chloe may not be rekindling her relationship with Jake just yet (we'll soon find out when the Wales episode airs on Sunday night!), one couple that love does seem to be blossoming for is Jessica Wright and Dan Edgar.
Speaking about Essex's budding romance, Chloe said: "I think Jess and Dan are really well suited. Dan is a really nice boy."
However she thinks it may be a while until things become official between the pair.
She continued: "They've both come out of long relationships, so I don't think they want to take anything too seriously. They're just having a bit of fun."
Not only has she been spending a lot of time with Jess recently, but Chloe has been relying on her close pal Ferne McCann to help her through her recent boy drama.
And as well as offering Chloe her support, Ferne has also had to deal with her own relationship woes of late.
Earlier this month, Ferne was left heartbroken after splitting with boyfriend Charlie Sims. After shockingly quitting TOWIE, Charlie gave Ferne an ultimatum, forcing her to choose between him or the show.
Ferne has since said she "is shocked" by their break-up, but Chloe has reassured us her pal is doing ok.
"She seems good," she said. "Anyone going through a break-up is going to find it hard, but she's got her head on her shoulders. She's strong."
TOWIE continues Sunday 29 March at 10pm on ITVBe.
