The model-turned-actress is one of the most photographed women on the planet and one of the most in-demand models but amazingly, she's said most people tend not to recognise her when she's out.
Cara told ITV's Lorraine that if anybody does find her familiar, it's usually because they reckon they went to school with her!
"I'm really lucky like that, I like to walk around a lot. It really upsets me when I can't walk because I love walking so when I can't, because of too many people or whatever, it really upsets me," she said.
"When I was just a New Yorker I'd go and walk through Times Square and just walk around, it's really funny. People always just look [at me] and double take… They look at me and go 'Do I know you from school'... People always say 'you look like that girl' it's great, I love it!"
Cara's well known for her stunning photographic campaigns and runway appearances but she's now turning her attentions to conquering Hollywood with a part in new movie The Face Of An Angel.
"Modelling, I love, but acting is my passion. I think modelling kind of chose me, it's never what I expected, I always wanted to be an actress and I think I use acting so much in modelling. You ask anyone I do a shoot with, I'm always running around doing accents, dancing, singing, it's never just a normal shoot!"
The Face Of An Angel is a crime thriller inspired by the case of Amanda Knox, accused of murdering flatmate Meredith Kercher in 2007.
