Dating back to 2012, The Wanted and One Direction became involved in many slanging matches via Twitter.
But Nathan - who has now gone solo - said he stayed well away from the arguments, which saw members from each band hurl insults at one another.
And, Nathan revealed there's no animosity between him and 1D's Harry Styles, as they recently met up in Los Angeles where they patched things up.
Speaking to The Mirror, Nathan said: "I was out with Harry in LA recently. We were both a bit merry but we had one hell of an embrace. I never had a problem with any of the 1D boys and never got involved with the Twitter fights, it wasn't me."
Whether it was mocking each other's looks, vocal abilities or love lives, the rival bands didn't hold back as they became embroiled in a series of heated Twitter spats.
While Zayn Malik called Max George "chlamydia boy", Louis Tomlinson blasted Tom Parker as "the biggest tw*t on Twitter".
Last January, The Wanted decided to take a hiatus, explaining their decision to "pursue personal endeavours".
Their last performance was at Fusion Festival in Birmingham last August.
