The gorgeous singer met Simon way back in 2010 when she finished runner-up on The X Factor and, as you'd expect, still sees him from time to time.
But chatting to the Daily Star, she joked that Simon's always so surrounded by his entourage she feels a little bit on the periphery when she tries to say hello.
"When I see Simon he always has these packs of people around and I feel like a bit of a stalker!" she said.
Rebecca told the paper she was hoping to be invited to appear on The X Factor later tis year.
"I love The X Factor because it got me noticed. Record labels need an incentive that people are buying into somebody before they sign them up."
Mother-of-three Rebecca finished in runner-up position on the seventh series, just behind Matt Cardle. One Direction finished in third place.
Rebecca's released three albums since X Factor: the critically acclaimed Heaven and Freedom, and the just-released Lady Sings The Blues, an interpretation of songs performed by jazz singer Billie Holiday.
