After admitting in a US chat show that she could be walking down the aisle for a third-time, we're told that their plans for a wedding are already in action.
But instead of a lavish, celebrity-filled ceremony, the couple are wanting their 'big day' to be small and intimate.
"Britney and Charlie feel like soulmates and plan to marry soon," confirms our source.
"Even though they could invite hundreds of people, it's just going to be immediate family and friends - probably 60 people at most.
"Britney has learned the value of a simple life."
As these pictures of her and Charlie attending her boys' soccer match show, she hasn't been shy about her feelings for her man, despite only dating for six months.
Last week, when asked in an interview on an American chat show whether she'll marry Charlie, Britney, 33, beamed: "You never know…"
Speaking about him last week, she added: 'I'm very blessed to have him as a part of my life, that's very cool.'
Britney married childhood friend Jason Alexander in the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas in 2004 (the marriage lasted just 55 hours).
Later the same year, she married dancer Kevin Federline and they went on to have two sons, Sean Preston, now nine, and Jayden James, eight, before divorcing in 2006.
