The Kaiser Chief frontman, 37, has revealed his relationship with TV producer Lesley Williams has ended after five years.
And his role on BBC1 talent show The Voice is partly to blame, he admits...
In quotes published in The Sun, Ricky says: "I took the risk of putting myself out there and I knew it was going to change me.
"I feel quite uncomfortable that I dragged someone else in who didn't want that. It's a huge part of my life and I find it tricky that I can't have it both ways."
A source told the newspaper: "Ricky always wanted to keep Lesley out of the limelight and hates the idea that people will be talking about their break-up."
The singer also denies any romantic involvement with fellow coach Rita Ora, who he famously flirts with onscreen.
Meanwhile, Ricky told Twitter fans he was "on the razzle" with Sir Tom Jones on Saturday (14 March) as their acts were not part of that night's knockout stage.
He tweeted: "Evening all #TeamRicky has the night off #KnockoutWeekend tonight while Rita & will sort out their teams. Me and Tom are out on the razzle."
However, the knockouts - where each of the coaches must kick off five of their eight acts and bring only THREE for the big live shows - continue on Sunday night.
It's going to be emotional!
