Jim, who plays theoretical physicist Sheldon Cooper in the CBS show, has been honoured with the star, which will be unveiled later today.
Jim's co-star Kunal Nayyar sent his congratulations via Instagram today.
He said: "So proud of this sexy hunk. @therealjimparsons congratulations on your hollywood star on the walk of fame. #legend #greatness #brother."
Jim has appeared in Broadway shows, adverts and CBS drama Judging Amy. He joined The Big Bang Theory as Sheldon since its inception in September 2007.
Sheldon has become a much-loved character, with his irony, unassuming humour, lack of social skills and use of the word "Bazinga"!
The 41-year-old actor recently voiced a character in the DreamWorks movie Home, which is set to be released March 27.
Although Jim is enjoying his time on Big Bang, he would love to do more movies in the future. He told Variety: "(It's) the golden handcuffs of television, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. One of these days this show won't be happening anymore and I will have more time than I want."
