Rumours have been flying for weeks that Bruce, 65, has been filming his own Keeping Up With The Kardashians spinoff series that will address ongoing speculation he is transitioning into a woman.
However, according to TMZ, the Olympian has slammed the brakes on a proposed air date of May, saying he doesn't think he or his family will be ready.
The showbiz website claims Bruce wants to ensure his children are fully on board with the documentary before rushing it to air. A source says he's also shaken up by the fatal car collision he was involved in earlier this year.
Reality star Bruce was involved in an accident in LA in February in which a neighbour died. Seven others were taken to hospital. Bruce was not hurt.
Bruce has yet to confirm he's even working on a show.
He's also never commented on speculation he is transitioning into a woman, speculation that arose when people noticed his appearance changing.
Stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West was asked about the claims earlier this year and she would only tell Entertainment Tonight: "We support Bruce no matter what, 100 per cent. On this one, I will say I think Bruce should tell his story his way.
"I think everyone goes through things in life, and I think that story and what Bruce is going through, I think he'll share whenever the time is right. I feel like that's his journey to talk about."
