The California girl shot to fame as a teenager on MTV's Laguna Beach before going on to star in spinoff show The Hills, documenting her move to LA.
But those days of Les Deux, FIDM, Toast, Teen Vogue and People's Revolution are long in the past…
Lauren is now married to musician and lawyer William Tell and blissfully happy away from the spotlight with every part of her private life no longer played out on screen.
"I was never a person who was obsessed with the idea of marriage," she tells the mag. "I mean, I love weddings. But he's the first person I ever thought I could marry."
Lauren and William married in September 2014 and rather than hitting the Hollywood party circuit, they prefer cosy nights in watching TV.
She jokes: "I watch The Good Wife with him, and he's like 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this…' It's a nightmare!"
The couple don't have kids just yet but LC is adamant she's learned one thing from her time in the limelight: "I definitely wouldn't encourage my child to do reality television."
Away from the cameras, she's now happy working behind the scenes on projects including her Paper Crown fashion collection and her own website offering everything from fashion to beauty to health tips.
Speaking about her success, she says: "Over the last few years I've been able to work with several women who I really respected because they didn't take on that role of being a bitch. They were strong, but they were kind and they didn't need to shout to be heard.
"A lot of women feel like they need to be tough in order to be taken seriously. We have this idea that kindness is weakness, which I don't think is true."
Lauren's full interviews is in the April issue of Redbook, on newsstands from 17 March.
