Kevin Federline has nothing but praise for ex-wife Britney Spears, saying co-parenting their children together is great.

The DJ split from Britney back in 2006 but they've remained amicable as they continue to raise their children Sean Preston, nine, and Jayden James, eight, together.

Kevin gave a rare interview to Access Hollywood Live yesterday in which he reminisced on his time with Britney and spoke about their post-marriage relationship.

He's now happily married again to former pro-volleyball player Victoria Prince, with whom he has two children, while Britney is dating producer Charlie Ebersol.

"It was a good time in my life," he said of his memories with Britney.

"We have two beautiful children. The way everything has turned out, everyone is happy. Co-parenting is going great. I can't complain. The schedule has been worked out over time. We talk when we need to and it's always about the boys, mostly school stuff and making sure we stay on top of that.

"It's going great. I'm in a happy place right now."

The former dancer also revealed he and Britney help each other out when their schedules change at the last minute. "You just pick up the phone," he said, adding just last weekend he needed to go to Orange County so Britney took the kids to Las Vegas with her.

Britney is currently mid-way through a massive residency in Las Vegas called Piece of Me, an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza featuring her greatest hits.

Interestingly, we did a bit of digging and found an old interview that Britney and Kevin gave to Details magazine back in 2005, where Brit spoke about her Vegas dreams.

"When I have kids — I think Celine Dion, the way she does it, with her show in Vegas, is the way to go. Everybody comes to her. When I have kids, I'm so there. That's what I'm doing: "Come to me, motherf**kers."

Britney and Kevin's divorce was finalised in 2007. They first met way back when Britney was rising to fame and Kevin was working as a back-up dancer. A few years later they met again and marriage happened.

It was Brit's second marriage after a short-lived Las Vegas wedding with childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander, which was annulled after a few hours.
