The Essex favourite has been through her fair share of major dramas since joining the ITVBe show, which in more recent months have included a three-day stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! that was marred by a personal incident that happened ahead of filming.
She's also been forced to search for a new home after thieves burgled her Essex property in February and stole jewellery.
And now she's told the TOWIE official website that she won't be letting the small things bother her anymore.
"My new outlook on life is not to sweat the small stuff and it makes me feel more of an independent woman than ever," she said.
"All of us girls go through so many ups and downs, you've just got to dust those shoulders down, put your lipstick on and get back out there as we all do."
She also shared a quote to Instagram alongside the caption: "This is my life story."
The quote read: "The women whom I love and admire for their strength and grace did not get that way because s**t worked out. They got that way because s**t went wrong, and they handled it. They handled it in a thousand different ways on a thousand different days, but they handled it. Those women are my superheros."
Gemma cemented her new status with an International Women's Day party in Essex, attended by all her co-stars and several very attractive shirtless waiters!
She also encouraged her girls – and Bobby Cole Norris! – to sign up for a stiletto dance workout class ahead of the big party.
As well as embracing her fierce independent woman, the clothing designer and boutique owner has been practicing Buddhism to help bring calm and peace to her life.
