Viewers of the ITVBe reality show will know that Lydia recently argued with mum Debbie Bright over Debbie's continued contact with Lydia's ex-boyfriend James 'Arg' Argent.
Lydia felt her family were too close to Arg and they should be more focused on supporting her.
On the last episode, we saw Debbie becoming emotional as she said how Lydia will always be the one she supports and loves as Lydia is her daughter and the most important person. She then left Lydia a voicemail message asking her to call.
Speaking to the TOWIE official website, Lydia has now said: "Nobody wants to argue with their mum. I want to put it to bed as much as she does…
"I do feel it's a step in the right direction for me and my family. There have been many arguments about it in the past. When I argue with somebody or feel sad about the way somebody has treated me, I want to make sure I know they always have my back. It all became a bit of a mess but now I want to get it forgotten about."
That being said, Lydia pointed out she's thrilled that Arg is back on track and doing well after a difficult few months.
He was suspended from TOWIE in 2014 over allegations of excessive partying which prompted him to seek treatment in a rehab centre over Christmas.
Now he's cleaned up his behaviour and is back on the show. On the last two episodes we saw him making amends with those he had hurt including Lydia and another ex-girlfriend, Gemma Collins.
In an emotional conversation, he and Lydia agreed they needed to step away from each other's lives and allow each other to move on.
We know from recent pictures of Lydia and Debbie filming that everything is now fine between them, too. They were seen earlier this week looking happy while filming alongside Carol and Jessica Wright in Essex.
