Britain's Got Talent judge David is said to have recently separated from model Lara after less than five years of marriage and insiders have said he is "devastated".
David's rep has, however, declined to comment on the reports and it is very much a case of business as usual for the Little Britain star today (5 March).
The celebrate World Book Day, David - who is also a children's author - has taken to the skies on a whirlwind tour of primary schools.
Posing for a picture as his chopper took off, the 43-year-old stuck his thumbs up and tweeted: "Great Missenden Primary School, I am in my way! #WalliamsWhirlwind."
Earlier, he had told followers: "It's finally here, @WorldBookDayUK & the #WalliamsWhirlwind is about to begin! First stop in my helicopter this morning is Great Missenden."
David has also tweeted lots of pictures of the children he has met on his travels, along with a black and white shot of himself standing next to his helicopter.
He joked: "The next James Bond? #WalliamsWhirlwind."
David and Lara tied the knot at London's swish Claridge's Hotel in May 2010.
The wedding came just five months after they had announced their engagement and they had become parents by May 2013.
When contacted by Reveal, David's reps said they do not comment on his private life.
