Tamera, who was a contestant in the 2013 series of The X Factor, was pictured yesterday while beavering away in the recording studio.
The 18-year-old singer has been working with a team of writers in Los Angeles and is clearly enjoying her time Stateside.
Sharing a picture of her outstretched hand (with an incredible landscape in the background), Tamera told her Instagram followers: "Mother nature really blessed me with this one this morning - Cali."
She added: "Getting my mind right before I let my mind write."
Later, Tamera was pictured in the recording studio while penning her new tunes. She captioned the photo: "Hippy sh*t. Writing session in LA."
Tamera initially auditioned for the 10th series of The X Factor with fellow hopeful, Jerrie Dila. The singers had met just days previously and the judges split them after rejecting them as a duo.
While Jerrie failed to make it to boot camp, Nicole Scherzinger took Tamera to the live shows and she ended up as the last girl standing. Tamera eventually finished the show in fifth place.
Last year, it was confirmed Tamera had signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco.
