Sheridan, who split with James in 2009 after an on/off relationship, took to Twitter last night and was quick to praise the evening's hosts Ant and Dec, adding that it was the "best Brits in years".
She said: "I am LOVING @antanddec best Brits in years!!! [Heart emoticon] all the winners are so deserved."
However, the star has now clarified that her tweet was not a dig to her ex James, who hung up his mic having presented the event from 2010 to 2014.
Sheridan tells Reveal: "It wasn't a sly dig at all! I love Ant & Dec and James is a genius! I'm on his sister's radio station on Sunday. I meant the line up!"
It was announced in October last year that Ant and Dec would be taking over from James as host of last night's Brit Awards, which was held at London's O2 Arena.
During his time fronting the prestigious music event, James famously interrupted Adele's 2012 acceptance speech for 'Album Of The Year'.
However, since his departure from the Brits, James has been announced as the new host of America's Late Late Show, which is a pretty big deal!
Last week, it was confirmed that James' first guest on the show will be Tom Hanks. It will air in the US on 23 March.
