Ant & Dec couldn't resist making a joke about Madonna's stage fall at last night's BRIT Awards.

The cheeky duo presented the star-studded ceremony, which ended in drama when poor Madonna spectacularly plunged backwards off her set and landed with a thump on the ground.

Poor Madonna fell off the stage.

Madonna was quick to assure fans she is fine and, ever the pro, simply stood up, dusted herself off and kept singing as she closed the show with new song 'Living For Love'.

After the show, naughty Ant & Dec poked fun at the incident by tweeting: "Ta for all your lovely messages, we really enjoyed it. We're stuck in A&E with @Madonna. Still an hour wait."

They added a sad face emoji.

Plenty of celebrities had their say on Madonna's performance as well, with fellow musicians praising her ability to just get on with the performance.

Olly Murs said: "Honestly feel bad for @Madonna not a nice thing to happen falling on stage! The ultimate pro just kept going! That takes class!"

Boy George added: "@Madonna was a trouper. That was a hard fall but she got on with it! All these comments about being old. So lame! #OldIsGold"

Adam Lambert commented: "Great performance @Madonna! You are a true professional and a legend. "Watched me Stumble...I'm gonna carry on!" #livingforlove."

Meanwhile, over in the US, TV host Mario Lopez said: "Tell you what though not many artists would continue after that fall. Way to go Madonna for being a trooper & carrying on! #Legend."
