The iconic singer drew gasps from the star-studded audience on Wednesday evening (25 February) when she tumbled backwards off the stage at the start of her performance.
It appeared as if a backing dancer had accidentally pulled her down while trying to whip her cape off.
But, ever the pro, Madonna got up and carried on as usual. Many also pointed out the fact her vocals briefly faltered during the slip meant she was singing live.
After the ceremony, she tweeted: "Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! #livingforlove."
Madonna, 56, closed the show with a performance of her new song 'Living For Love' and, despite the fall, ended on a triumphant high.

Other performers included Take That, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.
Ed and Sam were the night's biggest winners, each taking home two prizes, while Taylor, Pharrell Williams, Foo Fighters and One Direction were among the other award winners.
Kim Kardashian West was a surprise presenter on the night, handing out the 'Global Success Award' to her friend Sam. She also introduced husband Kanye to the stage.
