The reality star says she knows people think of her as feisty as straight-talking, but in actual fact she would prefer a "drama-free" life and fears getting into arguments with others.
Speaking to the TOWIE official website, she said: "I'm 25 this year and I hate this confrontation. Before any of that confrontation I feel sick, I feel ill. I don't want to do it. I just want a drama-free life."
On Sunday night's series premiere of TOWIE, viewers saw her confronted by Danielle Armstrong over a comment made at a party earlier this year.
Dani accused Ferne of making a joke which insinuated Dani had slept with someone famous. Dani - who is dating co-star Lockie - denied this and said she'd felt "humiliated".
Ferne said: "With me and Dani, it went better than expected. She had a point. I made a mistake, let's move on. I expected what she would say."
She went on to say: "I know this is a new me and normally I hold a massive grudge but I'm so beaten down by all the drama in my life. I do slip up from time to time. Doesn't everyone? I'm not going to suppress my personality and stop having banter just because it gets me in trouble."
We'll get the latest goss from Ferne, Dani and the rest of the them when TOWIE continues tonight on ITVBe.
