The 'Shake It Off' singer was surprised by the honour while rehearsing today at London's O2 Arena for her performance at this week's BRIT Awards.
Taylor was presented with the IFPI Global Recording Artist of 2014 gong, which honoured her incredible album and single sales, downloads and streaming from across the past twelve months.
Her most recent album 1989 has been a smash hit across the world, hitting number one in more than 95 countries. Yes. 95 COUNTRIES! How incredible is that?!
It's already spawned songs including 'Shake It Off', 'Blank Space' and new track 'Style'.
Taylor's in the UK to perform at Wednesday night's BRIT Awards, where she's also nominated in the 'International Female' category against the likes of Beyone, Sia and Lana Del Rey.
Last year's inaugural IFPI Global Recording Artist prize went to One Direction, following the release of their third album Midnight Memories. It featured songs including 'Best Song Ever' and 'Story of My Life'.
They landed at number two in this year's countdown.
