The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 30, was driving family members including sister Kim, 34, and niece North West, one, through snowy Montana when the incident happened.
Khloe lost control of the vehicle and they veered off the road, although thankfully nobody was injured.
While hosting the E! coverage of the Academy Awards last night, Khloe recalled: "It was really scary yesterday but we're all good, all safe, thank God.
"We were in Montana. I hit some black ice, the car span out of control. Like, a big rig had got ice all over the car and we couldn't see anything, so our car span out of control, but I gained control and ended up in a ditch. I was driving.
Khloe added: "It was scary. Kim was screaming and crying. Everyone is good, just shook up a little bit."
It's thought the family were in Montana to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Hours after the incident, Khloe was on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles helping E!'s Giuliana Rancic host coverage of the Oscars.
