The bubbly actress – who plays Corrie favourite Fiz Stape and also runs Annie's restaurant in Manchester with her long-term partner Chris Farr – says baby Albert has been a joy.
She said: "He's just fitted so perfectly into our lives. Seeing him smile is the best bit."
Jennie, 31, admits she's turned to her Corrie co-stars for support since giving birth.
She said: "I'm kind of just copying other mum's that I see do it really well, including my mates at Corrie who have got little ones and do it brilliantly.
The star says she tries to be a relaxed mum, but couldn't do it without the support of her family and co-stars.
"I'm quite a chilled out person, but I am getting a lot of support," she says.
"Albert has amazing grandparents and all my friends at Corrie are honorary aunties and uncles.
"I'm just in awe of mums or dads who do it on their own. I need the support!"
Jennie plans to make her return to the Street by the summer, and admits she's keeping a close eye on the ITV soap – especially her on screen love interest Tyrone Dobbs, played by Alan Halsall.
"I watch it and I love it when Tyrone mentions Fiz," she says.
"I don't want them to forget me, so it's lovely when they mention my name in a scene."
Jennie said: "We'll fit it in one day, but at the moment we have enough on."
"Chris runs Annie's, so me and Albert call in to see him every day. It's great and Chris is really enjoying being a dad.
"The restaurant has become a Manchester landmark, which I love. All my Corrie cast mates come in because they think they'll get free chips!"
