British actor and comedian James has taken over as the host of CBS chatshow The Late Late Show, which re-launches with him as host in the US on 23 March.
Yesterday on Twitter, the show confirmed Tom Hanks will be the first guest.
There have also been rumblings that One Direction may appear in James' first episode, largely thanks to his known friendship with Harry Styles and the fact 1D recorded a promo urging viewers to tune into the show.
James, 36, was confirmed in September as the replacement for Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show.
In a statement, he said he as "thrilled and honoured" to be taking over the show, adding: "I can't wait to get started."
While he's more famous on this side of the pond, he's not a complete unknown in the US thanks to roles in movies including the Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt film Into The Woods.
James has been increasing his profile in the US in recent weeks, attending the likes of the Critics' Choice Awards in January, the Grammy Awards this month and co-hosting the annual Young Hollywood party.
