The Essex regular told The Mirror she'd bet her new man while travelling in Thailand earlier this year and they'd been on four dates already.
"It's early days," she said, adding she still describes herself as "single" and isn't really looking for a long-term relationship right now.
Lydia, 25, had an off-off relationship with TOWIE co-star James 'Arg' Argent for years, and he's made no secret of the fact he would like to win her back.
Fashion designer Lydia has said she'd like James 'Arg' Argent to return to the ITVBe show after he was suspended last year because of excessive partying.
"He's doing really well at the moment," she said on ITV's This Morning. "We're all hoping and praying he'll come back at some point during this series."
TOWIE begins its 14th series this weekend on ITVBe, kicking off with a visit to Tenerife for the girls and Bobby Cole Norris and Vas J Morgan.
Lydia has already teased plenty of fireworks in Tenerife, saying: "We renamed it Tener-grief! There has never been so many arguments on one holiday. There was so much commotion, tears and tantrums."
"I think it happens when girls get together. There's a lot of opinionated and big characters among the cast and it ended up getting catty. Tensions were definitely rising.
"I actually feel as though we've peaked, where is it going to go now? The first episode is going to be so explosive!"
