TOWIE star Debbie Douglas has joked she'd leave her husband for handsome co-star Mario Falcone!

Essex favourite Debbie was asked who the most fanciable member of the cast was, prompting her to joke: "Definitely Mario Falcone. I would leave my husband for him!"

Debbie is best known to viewers as Lydia Bright's mum and being a supportive shoulder to cry on for plenty of cast members, and she'll be back for the new series, which starts this Sunday. Woohoo!

Asked for her relationship advice for TOWIE's young stars, agony aunt Debbie said: "The most important thing that you have is trust, because without trust you can't go forward. And you need to give each other space."

Debbie said the next couple she'd like to see tie the knot are Ferne McCann and Charlie Sims, explaining: "Ferne needs taming and I think Charlie is the only man in the world who would put up with her!"

Debbie says she loves filming with Carol Wright.

With filming already underway for the 14th series of TOWIE, Debbie said her favourite cast members to film with are Carol Wright and Nanny Pat.

"Carol and I said once with TOWIE 'if we don't laugh another day we've had our quota' because we have laughed so much over the last four years. Sometimes we only have to look at each other – we keep each other going and she is my partner in crime."

Not surprising then that Debbie would take Carol and Nanny Pat to a desert island if she could only bring three cast members!

"Carol because we laugh a lot and we make the best out of nothing, Nanny Pat as she could do the cooking, cleaning and ironing, and Tommy Mallet as he would build me a raft to take me home!

As for the Queen Bee of Essex, she said: "It's got to be Gemma Collins, no one else – GC is in the house!"

TOWIE returns Sunday, 22 February at 10pm on ITVBe.
