Last autumn, Arg was suspended from TOWIE after several incidents of concerning behaviour and he later checked himself into rehab.
Since Christmas, however, the reality star has emerged a new man and looks dramatically thinner and healthier after embarking on a healthy lifestyle regime.
Yesterday, during an appearance on This Morning, Lydia Bright revealed that the cast are "praying" her ex-boyfriend will be allowed to return to TOWIE sometime during the forthcoming series - and it seems his fans are doing the same.
Last night, Arg retweeted several of his followers who are keen to see him on their screens again. One said: "I don't ask for the moon or stars just that @RealJamesArgent is gonna be coming back to TOWIE."
Another added: "@RealJamesArgent there is no TOWIE without Arg." One fan told him: "Cant wait for the new @TOWIE, I really hope @RealJamesArgent is back in it." After reading this message, Arg replied: "Thank you, So do I! Lol x."
Jazz singer Arg first sparked concern in August when he failed to turn up for a pre-booked flight to Majorca. The Met Police launched a missing persons appeal and his TOWIE co-stars were frantic with worry, but thankfully he was found asleep in a hotel room.
Weeks later, it emerged Arg had got so drunk on a flight to Ibiza with his TOWIE co-stars that he'd vomited down his shirt. TOWIE bosses later decided to suspend the star and he didn't appear in the Christmas special.
When asked if Arg will be returning, a TOWIE rep told Reveal: "No decisions have been made yet."
