Next week, Keira will go head-to-head with the likes of Meryl Streep and Emma stone for the 'Best Supporting Actress' Academy Award, but it seems she won't be drawing from her past experience on the night.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, the Love Actually star admitted her first time as an Oscar nominee is all a bit of a blur.
Apart from recalling sitting next to Jack Nicholson, Keira told Jimmy: "I don't really remember it. At the time we were working on Pirates of the Caribbean and doing night shoots. I was so exhausted. Even when I heard I had got the Oscar nomination.
"I was in a really deep sleep and the phone rang, I answered and was like 'yeah great' and went back to sleep. I woke up hours later like 'that was weird'."
So far Keira has been working the red carpet at several award ceremonies, with her most recent appearance being at the BAFTAs in London last week.
After just missing out to Boyhood star Patricia Arquette for the 'Best Supporting Actress' award, Keira is now hoping to get her hands on the Oscar instead.
Although, the mum-to-be won't be reaching for the champers if she is announced as the winner.
Currently pregnant with her and husband James Righton's first child, Keira told Jimmy: "This has been a very sober award season for me."
She then joked: "Saying that, when I was nominated at the Oscars before, I was 20. You can't drink in this country [US] until you're 21… so last time I was sober as well!"
Last month, it was announced Keira had been nominated for an Academy Award for her performance in the Imitation Game.
In the movie, the 29-year-old stars alongside Sherlock's Benedict Cumberbatch as a codebreaker.
On hearing news of her second Oscar nod, Keira said: "What an exciting morning! I'm so honoured and grateful for this nomination and to be in the company of such talented and inspiring actresses."
The Academy Awards will be held in LA next week on Sunday 22 February.
