The internet is abuzz after it was confirmed that book sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed would also be turned into Hollywood blockbusters.
Wow! And the first movie isn't even out yet!
Clearly banking on the success of Fifty Shades of Grey on the big screen, the movie's director Sam Taylor-Johnson confirmed the two new projects during a fan screening in New York last week, according to MTV.
As you can imagine, the audience freaked out just a bit!
Universal, the studio behind the movie, however, told trade magazine Variety that nothing had been confirmed yet. Waiting to see box office returns, perhaps?!
Fifty Shades is a trilogy of erotic books written by E.L. James that document the relationship between billionaire businessman Christian Grey and the more naïve, sweet Ana Steele.
The first book – and movie – features their initial encounter and how Christian seduces Ana into his world of bondage.
Fifty Shades is released on the big screen this week. Already it's broken records for the most tickets sold ahead of release for an adult rated movie.
It's been rated 18 in the UK.
Northern Irishman Jamie Dornan plays the mysterious Christian, while Dakota Johnson – the daughter of Melanie Griffith – plays Ana Steele.
The movie will also feature an appearance by Rita Ora, who is making her major film debut as Mia Grey, the younger sister of Christian.
Meanwhile, the movie's soundtrack is also making major waves thanks to a slowed down reworking of Beyoncé's track 'Crazy In Love' and the Ellie Goulding song 'Love Me Like You Do', written especially for the film.
