TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Denise will join the BBC One soap in the coming months for a few episodes.
Show bosses are not giving away any details about her role, but once arriving in Albert Square, she's set to "send sparks flying" as she'll be romantically involved with one of Walford's male residents!
Denise 40, said: "I'm really excited to be joining EastEnders as I've been a fan of the series for years. 2015 marks the show's 30th anniversary, so it feels even more special to be part of this year's celebration."
It's not the first time Denise has been linked to the soap. In May 2013, EastEnders bosses denied claims that they were lining up Denise for a role as the new landlady of the infamous Queen Vic pub.
"It was only a matter of time before Denise Van Outen walked onto the Square," said executive producer Dominic Treadwell Collins. "We cannot wait to have Denise join us for a few episodes - where she will definitely make her presence felt..."
The mum-of-one has always been a massive fan of the show, saying on ITV's This Morning in 2012: "I'd never rule it out, I'd love to do it [and] pull a few pints! You never know, if they'd have me!"
Denise became a household name in the UK after co-hosting The Big Breakfast in 1997. She is also a West End star having performed as Roxie Hart in Chicago.
