Kristen Stewart nominated for a Cesar Award aka French Oscar!

Kristen Stewart has become the first American actress in thirty years to be nominated for a Cesar Award, the French equivalent of the Oscars.


The Twilight starlet picked up the honour for her role in drama Clouds of Sils Maria, where she plays an assistant named Valentine who works for a veteran actress, played by Juliette Binoche.

Kristen's been nominated in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category.

Clouds of Sils Maria was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year and has yet to be widely released. It will screen at the Glasgow Film Festival in February and be released at cinemas in the UK in May.

The Cesar Awards take place on 20 February, two days before the movie's Glasgow premiere.

Kristen is currently in Paris where she was pictured looking gorgeous while attending the Chanel show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. She's a brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house.

She's been all over the awards circuit lately promoting her new movie Still Alice, another film which has been garnering rave reviews and lots of awards ceremonies.

Kristen plays the daughter of a college professor (Julianne Moore) who has early onset Alzheimer's.
