On Sunday, former JLS singer JB will be back on our screens for the second series of Channel 4's winter sports reality show after enduring weeks of intense training.
Having welcomed his son with Chloe on 19 September, JB is looking forward to having his family by his side once the show kicks off.
"We're so blessed," JB says. "He's brilliant, he's such a joy. It's an incredible time in my life. I'm really going to miss them.
"We're just working out the dates of when my wife Chloe can come out with him. They'll come out a couple of times during training, and be there for the live shows as well."
Since JLS disbanded, JB has been throwing himself into life as a farmer.
"Trying to fit it all in isn't easy," he admits. "It's quite involved and quite full on, but it's really, really exciting. It's a new chapter in my life and something that I'm really relishing.
"It's kept me in decent shape to come and do this - all that lifting and pulling and pushing."
So why did JB decide to to take part in The Jump?
"Some might say that I'm a bit of a thrill-seeker. I don't think I'm actively that way inclined, but I do enjoy outdoor pursuits of the hair-raising, exciting kind."
Going under the name of JB 'G Force' Gill, he concludes: "I'm definitely going to give it my best shot. I'm going to enjoy it, I'm going to push myself, I'm going to work as hard as I possibly can, and hopefully, maybe that might be enough to win it. And if it's not, it'll be an incredible experience."
The Jump returns on Sunday 1 February at 9pm on Channel 4.
