Maddy who plays the role of Nancy Carter on the soap looked a far cry from her onscreen self while attending this year's National Television Awards held in London on Wednesday (21 January).
Ditching her character's usual choice of a tracksuit and trainers, we almost didn't recognise the blonde beauty in her gown - something which she later admitted was a regular occurrence!
Dressed in a navy floor-length dress, Maddy - who won the award for 'Best Newcomer' - looked absolutely stunning as she walked the NTAs red carpet. Styling her blonde locks into a beautiful updo, the actress finished her look with a touch of blusher on her cheeks and plenty of gloss on her lips.
And all her efforts didn't go unnoticed as Maddy received plenty of compliments on her NTA look while hanging out backstage after her win.
Addressing her glammed-up self, Maddy admitted that her character's super-casual style has helped her to go unnoticed when out in public.
"As soon as I don't look like my character, I'm invisble," she told us. "I don't actually get the downsides of fame because my character is so specific.
"So if I've got my hair down and a hat on, I go unnoticed. Don't tell anyone!"
She then added: "It's really nice to have the comparison, though. I get to be really comfy at work and then I could stick anything on for something like this and people are like, 'Oh wow, you're in a dress'. I like it."
Part of the Carter family, Maddy stars alongside Danny Dyer, who plays her father Mick Carter on EastEnders.
And since joining the soap in January last year, Maddy revealed she is constantly asked, 'What is Danny Dyer like in real life?' by fans.
Her response: "[Danny's] ridiculous. He's a preposterous human being. I love him."
Co-star Danny also bagged himself a gong on the night, taking home the award for 'Outstanding Serial Drama Performance'.
EastEnders scooped the night's big win and was announced the winner of 'Most Popular Serial Drama'.
