The former Friends star was helped out by an assistant ahead of her interview on the US breakfast show to make sure her monochrome outfit looked its best.
Jen, 45, was stunning in a fitted black skirt and a simple white blouse proving less is often more when it comes to style.
She's doing the promotional rounds for her new movie Cake, which is released next month and has already garnered rave reviews for her performance.
Jennifer plays a chronic pain sufferer who becomes fascinated with the suicide of a young woman in her support group.
Many critics have applauded Jen's moving and darkly comedic performance, praising her for stepping out of her romcom comfort zone.
On GMA today, the actress said she'd loved the chance to delve into a gritty character and really explore a different topic for her.
"I felt like I went back to class," she explained. "Doing all of those wonderful acting, the exploration of a character and all that stuff. It's been so long since I've had to, or ever had something like this to dive into. I'm thrilled. It was exciting to keep challenging myself."
Jen's powerful performance has seen her nominated at the Golden Globe Awards, Critics' Choice Awards and Screen Actors' Guild Awards, although unfortunately she missed out on an Oscar nod this year.
Cake is released in UK cinemas on 20 February.
