The mum-of-one told ELLE magazine that being a working actress and mum to two-year-old son Luca was far more important than counting calories and obsessing about her size.
She admitted she was like every woman and had moments when she thought she was a few pounds bigger than she wanted to me, but she'd never let it affect her.
"I just tell myself, 'I'm 5'2", I'm really fit, killing it in the gym, and doing crazy things.' I love to work out, but I'm just not that concerned with being the skinniest person. I'm not a model; I'm an actress," she said.
"I always feel like I'm in the five to ten pound struggle, but my life is so busy. I'm just not that concerned, really. I'm normal and I'm perfectly happy being that way. Some weeks I'm like, 'Man, my clothes are fitting so good' and then some weeks I'm like, 'I need to cut back on a few things,' but that's it. I don't fall into the trap of having to be 110 pounds."
Hilary's often spoken out about her preference for spending time with son Luca than hours in the gym.
In 2013, she said she hadn't rushed to lose her baby weight following the birth of Luca because she just wanted to spend time with him, not hours in the gym and being unhappy because she couldn't eat what she wanted.
