Oritsé released his first record online yesterday (13 January) after deciding to go it alone and he now wants to be known by his new stage name O.W.S..
The singer's first solo offering is called 'Waterline' and he has teamed up with US artist Pusha T for the track.
After setting up a brand new Twitter account using the handle @OWSdigital, Oritsé posted a black and white picture of himself announcing his new moniker.
He also thanked all his original JLS fans who are still showing support, saying: "#ORIginators I never left U, I never forgot U, U were 1st to know #OWS."
Oritsé has spent the past year in the studio laying down his brand new music following JLS's split, which was first confirmed in April 2013.
The boy band, who found fame on The X Factor, enjoyed a successful six-year career before deciding to go their separate ways and pursue new solo ventures.
