Speaking on Loose Women today, 68-year-old Edwina gushed: "My first night in the jungle I had to sleep with him. I thought to myself, 'mmmm' and 'they're paying me to do this!'

"He's an exceptionally nice, young man and he spent his entire time with his shirt off!"

Edwina, who is happily married to husband John, made it to the I'm A Celebrity final four with Jake and was often jokingly accused of flirting with the 26-year-old singer by their fellow campmates.

Recalling their days spent in the Australian jungle, Edwina added: "The whole thing about Jake is that he's a lovely, young man.

"I'm old enough to be his granny but I can still admire! The day I forget what it's all about, is the day I'm getting old."

It's fair to say Edwina is open about her feelings towards the opposite sex and, as she explained on Loose Women, she believes it is a result of her generation.

"I used to write novels like that. We're part of a generation that broke barriers," Edwina went on to reveal.

"We started talking about sex when we were teenagers and in our 20s. We were around at the time that contraception first became possible. When women's lib was all the rage.

"One of the rules that I like obeying, is that I like men."

What a cougar!
