The 16-year-old daughter of Coronation Street star Kim performed for judges Sir Tom Jones, Rita Ora, Ricky Wilson and Will.i.am during the auditions stage of the upcoming fourth series.
Mum Kym told The Sun that Emilie wanted to audition for The Voice as she'd be judged purely on talent rather than who her famous mother is, as the judges have their backs turned to contestants as they perform.
"Emilie doesn't like to mention me or my work," said Kym. "She has a different surname from mine too – she loves that.
"If people ever mention me to her she's like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's my mum. Move on.' She's determined to do this by herself. And she will – she gets that from me."
No doubt Kym will have given Emilie plenty of advice, considering Kym first found fame on a reality singing show herself, Popstars.
Back in 2001, Kym was among the hopefuls who auditioned for the original singing competition and was chosen by the panel of judges to make it into band Hear'Say.
Kym left Hear'Say in 2002.
We'll see how Emilie - who previously auditioned for Britain's Got Talent - gets on in The Voice when the show returns to BBC1 from Saturday at 7pm.
