The loveable reality star told fans on Tuesday afternoon (30 December) that he was thrilled to be back home after spending his festive season away from friends and family.
A happy sounding Arg tweeted: "It's good to finally be back in Essex. Home is where the heart is. New year coming up and a new start."
He cheekily added: "First stop… Nando's haha #SomeThingsNeverChange."
Arg has not publicly spoken about his rehab stint but TOWIE co-star Debbie Douglas – the mum of his on-off girlfriend Lydia Bright – confirmed earlier this month that Arg had checked himself in for treatment.
It's been claimed that Arg entered rehab in a bid to curb his wild partying though he has not confirmed this.
It wasn't the easiest year for the star who sparked national panic when he was reported missing in August after failing to turn up for a flight (he had been sleeping with his phone switched off) and then in October he was suspended from TOWIE.
He was also filmed with vomit on his jumper after reportedly drinking too much and becoming sick on board a flight to Ibiza that same month.
Now, however, the 27-year-old is looking forward to a positive future - and he has the backing and support of all his TOWIE colleagues, past and present.
Plenty of cast members publicly wished him a merry Christmas via Twitter, with Mark and Jessica Wright's dad Big Mark adding: "Thinking of our other boy today. Chin up mate, you're doing great. See [you] New Year's Eve."
Joan Collins, the mum of Arg's ex Gemma, said today: "Thinking of you James and I know it's going to be a fantastic 2015 for you. [You'll] be back laughing boy."
Other TOWIE stars who reached out to Arg today included Lucy Mecklenburgh who tweeted: "Glad ur back! Fresh start!"
