The former van driver released his debut song on Sunday night, and it was an instant chart hit, having already climbed to Number One on the UK iTunes chart.

Last night, Ben headed to the show's wrap party in London to celebrate his recent triumph with runner-up Fleur East and former contestant Stevie Ritchie.

Since winning, Ben - who has already taken an early lead in the race for the coveted Christmas Number One spot - has been up and down the country doing interviews and promo for his very first single.

This week, Ben had his first meeting with his record label at Sony HQ, and he has already been vocal about his career ambitions.

"Success-wise I would love to be like Olly Murs," Ben told The Metro. "But sound-wise I am looking for a different vibe... I'd love to take a Paolo Nutini sound."
