X Factor winner Ben Haenow had his first meeting with his new record label today, and looking ahead the singer has revealed high hopes for his music career.

On Sunday night, viewers watched as Ben was crowned this year's winner of the X Factor - beating bookie's favourite Fleur East.

And, heading to his new place of work - Sony Music - the van driver now turned singer has revealed he is hoping to be as successful as former X Factor star Olly Murs.

During the X Factor final, Olly took to the stage with Demi Lovato and following his performance, it seems the cheeky chappy has had this year's winner Ben itching for the same success.

Speaking to The Metro, Ben said he would love to do as well as the 'Wrapped Up' singer has done.

He said: "Success-wise I would love to be like Olly Murs, but sound-wise I am looking for a different vibe... I'd love to take a Paolo Nutini sound."

And, hoping to get Sony on board, Ben paid a visit to the record label - housing names such as One Direction and Ella Henderson - earlier today, for his first meeting as a fully-fledged artist.

Sharing a photo of himself inside the Sony building, the 29-year-old tweeted: "Got to meet the team yesterday at @sonymusicuk xx Can't wait to get started! Now the hard work begins!"

Ben's tweet comes after he took home the X Factor title, beating finalists Fleur and Andrea Faustini.

In a two-day final over the weekend, Ben took to the stage to perform his song of the series, a duet of 'Thinking Out Loud' with Ed Sheeran, and, of course, a rendition of his debut single 'Something I Need'.

After performing his single for the first time on the X Factor stage, Ben was met with praise by the judges with Mel B telling the singer she thought the song was "made for him".

And, it looks like Ben could have a Christmas number one in the bag, after his single went straight to the top of the iTunes chart following its release.
