Former Saved By The Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar is going to be a father for the fourth time!

The actor – who stole our hearts as the mischievous Zack Morris back in the 1990s – spread some early Christmas happiness over the weekend by announcing wife Catriona McGinn is pregnant!

Mark-Paul, 40, told People that the couple had been planning a new addition "for awhile" and that he'd always wanted a large family.

"Children make life better — not at the beginning — but as they sleep through the night, that makes life better," he said.

This will be the couple's second child together. They are also parents to son Dekker Edward, born September 2013.

Mark-Paul has two other children from a previous relationship: Ava, eight, and Michael, ten.

We feel old now!

Mark-Paul isn't the only Saved By The Bell favourite to have a family: his on-screen love interest Tiffani Thiessen (aka Kelly Kapowski) is mum to daughter Harper, while Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano) has son Sky, and Mario Lopez (AC Slater) is dad to daughter Gia and son Dominic.

Since leaving Saved By The Bell, Mark-Paul has gone on to star in NYPD Blue and, most recently, comedy drama Franklin & Bash, which aired four series.

Congrats to Mark-Paul and Catriona!
