With both of his acts - Ben and Fleur East - making it as the final two in the competition, it was a win win situation for the music mogul during the show's grand final last night.
And, making sure to celebrate a successful series, following the star-studded evening Simon was out to the early hours toasting his win.
Last night on The Xtra Factor, Simon admitted he was "absolutely hammered" following Saturday's night show, but that didn't seem to stop him hitting the town for round two, following yesterday's final result.
Taking to Twitter at 5am this morning, the 55-year-old tweeted: "We just got home. What a great night! So happy for @Bhaenow. Sad for @FleurEast. But what a final! I felt very proud tonight.
"I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who worked on the show this year. And now it's time to say goodnight to everyone. Or good morning."
Who knew he was such a party animal?!
Simon's tweets come after 29-year-old Ben was crowned this year's X Factor winner, despite Fleur being dubbed the favourite to win.
Presented with his winning single - a cover of One Republic's 'Something I Need', the van driver from Croydon said he "couldn't believe" he had finally bagged himself a recording contract, after 12 years of trying to make it in the music biz.
"Oh my God, I can't believe it! Thank you so much for making my dream come true!," he said.
"When you start, there is such amazing talent. You can never believe you'll get to this point in the competition."
Praising his act, Simon told Ben: "I could not be happier, you deserved it, you're a great guy. This is your moment, I'm so proud of you."
Ben's win comes after a star-studded X Factor final, seeing not only the two finalists perform, but Olly Murs, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith and One Direction with special guest Ronnie Wood also take to the stage.
Meanwhile, Mel B made her return to the judging panel after her absence the night before due to falling ill.
Standing in for Mel on Saturday's night show was former X Factor judge Tulisa, and she was on hand to offer support to Mel's final boy Andrea Faustini who finished in third place on the show that evening.
Despite not being there as Andrea was eliminated, Mel said she had been texting the Italian all night, telling Dermot she thought Andrea had done so well with his performances.
Following his exit, Andrea thanked the Spice Girl via Twitter.
He tweeted: "This has been the greatest experience of my life and I am so happy that I've come so far! THANKS to you, my family and @OfficialMelB."
