The singer-songwriter announced on Twitter that he's ready for a "fresh start" with a new team around him as he bids to bring his music to a wider audience.
James wrote on Thursday night (11 December): "Just to let fans know, I have officially left management who have been instrumental in helping cement an amazing fan base in Europe.
"But now I feel it's time to make a fresh start with a new team and make my mark on the rest of the world… Announcements to come #LOVE."
James won the ninth series of X Factor in 2012 and went on to have huge success with debut single 'Impossible', selling around 2.5 million copies worldwide.
His debut album, James Arthur, charted at number two on its release in 2013. It also featured the singles 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You' and 'Recovery'.
In June this year, he announced he'd parted ways with record label Syco, telling fans: "Just to clear things up - I am no longer with Syco. I would like to thank all at the label for making a great record with me. I now have to move on and do something different - the future is bright! #LOVE."
At the time, he said he hadn't got a new label lined up but there had been interest.
James, 26, is currently working on a follow up, and has been quiet on Twitter in recent weeks as he focuses on the music.
He told fans yesterday: "Im still super busy with music, will check in when not creating new sounds. #LOVE."
Another message said: "Thanks so much to all who have helped me on my journey so far! Exciting things to come in 2015 #NewChapter #LOVE."
