The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent their final evening in the US at a dinner celebration marking the 600th anniversary of St Andrews University in Scotland.
And as royal watchers will know, the university holds a special place in their hearts.
It was at St Andrews that Kate, 32, and William, also 32, first met, way back in 2001 when they were assigned rooms in the same halls of residence.
After friendship blossomed, they rented a townhouse with a group of pals the following academic year, romance ensued and, as they say, the rest is history!
Last night, the pregnant duchess looked absolutely beautiful in a striking midnight blue floor-length ball gown by designer Jenny Packham, that showed off her blossoming baby bump.
She's around five months pregnant with their second child.
If Kate's dress looks familiar, it's because she has worn it before: to the National Portrait Gallery in February 2014 and at a 100 Women In Hedge Funds event the previous year.
The royal couple flashed smiles for the waiting crowd as they arrived The Metropolitan Museum of Art to mingle with fellow guests including Anna Wintour and Mary-Kate Olsen.
Yesterday's glamorous dinner was held to support scholarships and bursaries for students from less privileged backgrounds, as well as promoting investment in St Andrews' medical and science facilities, and sports faculties.
Back in 2012, William spoke fondly about his time at St Andrews during an engagement which saw the royal couple walking around the university's halls once again.
William said at the time it was "very special" to be back at the university, adding: "We love it for its traditions - traditions that lie at the very heart of Scotland's history. We love it because it made us look beyond St Andrews, beyond the borders of Scotland, to the wide world.
"But perhaps most important of all, we love it for the friendships it has given us. As I look around this hall tonight - and even take a peek at the person sitting three from my left [Kate] - I thank God for those friendships - our friendship - forged in our ancient halls."
Kate and William are due to return to the UK today.
