Despite all the commotion around her, baby Miley looked utterly enthralled by her singer mother as they left the London studios together on Sunday evening (7 December).
Last year's X Factor winner Sam was a guest performer on last night's results show, alongside Michael Bublé, Idina Menzel and Fifth Harmony, the US X Factor winners.
For Sam, it was a welcome return to the X Factor stage nearly one year to the day since she was crowned the winner of series ten.
Sam won the last series under the guidance of judge Sharon Osbourne and went on to achieve a Christmas number one with debut single 'Skyscraper', and one of the fastest selling albums of the year, The Power of Love.
She also supported Beyonce on tour and has worked with Michael Bolton.
Sam will perform on a headline tour of the UK next year.
Chatting with Reveal last week, she had some words of wisdom for this year's finalists, who will be hoping to follow in her footsteps and win the show.
"It's just focus and concentration," said Sam. "Think about the reason you are up there on that stage. For me, being in the final was a massive blur, but you're on the go that much that you don't have time to think. As soon as you hear the roar of that crowd, that's enough to make you want to sing that 10% more and just absolutely bring it on that stage."
Fleur East, Ben Haenow and Andrea Faustini will battle it out in the final, after Lauren Platt was sent home last night.
But Sam insisted at this stage in the competition, nobody is going home a loser.
"Whoever goes out this week shouldn't see it as failure. No matter what happens you're going to be back for the final anyway and you're going to be on the tour performing in arenas," said Sam.
"The fact that you've got that far is an achievement in itself. Anyone that leaves the competition - especially at the semi finals will be gutted - but flip it onto the positive and think about how lucky you are."
