Popstar Pixie and professional dance partner Trent Whiddon found themselves in the dance-off during Sunday night's results show alongside Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff.
After receiving the fewest votes, both couples had to dance once again for a chance to stay in the competition.
While Simon and Kristina performed their American Smooth to 'Heartache Tonight' by Michael Buble, Pixie and Trent danced the Cha Cha to the Glee version of 'Love Shack'.
Judge Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Pixie, while Darcey Bussell and Len Goodman chose to save Simon. Pixie ended up going home because Len is the head judge and he has the deciding vote.
Len said: "I have to judge this on this one dance that I have seen - not what has been in the past, [or] what my expectations are in the future. I tell you – this is hard as a judge but harder as person but I am judging it and I know when I drive home, in my heart, I have the right result for me, and my winners were Simon and Kristina."
The results came as a shock to the studio audience, as Pixie has received consistently high scores, and has often been in the top three on the leaderboard.
Speaking after her exit, 'Mama Do' singer Pixie said: "I was absolutely loving it, I had the best time ever. I am sad that I won't get to learn the Salsa and the American Smooth next week.
"I have honestly loved this experience so much and I am so pleased that I decided to do it. I couldn't have asked for a better dance partner – honestly, Trent, you have been amazing. I have learnt so much and I am so grateful for it."
Strictly Come Dancing is back on Saturday 13 December at 6.50pm for the semi finals. The results show will air on Sunday 14 December at 7.20pm on BBC One.
