Sam, who stormed to victory on the ITV talent show in 2013, will be performing live on the show this Sunday.
This weekend will see Lauren Platt, Andrea Faustini, Ben Haenow and Fleur East battle it out for a coveted place in the grand finale.
'Skyscraper' singer Sam tells Reveal: "Whoever goes out this week shouldn't see it as failure. No matter what happens you're going to be back for the final anyway and you're going to be on the tour performing in arenas.
"The fact that you've got that far is an achievement in itself," she continues. "Anyone that leaves the competition - especially at the semi finals will be gutted - but flip it onto the positive and think about how lucky you are."
But what does it take to win the show?
"It's just focus and concentration," says Sam. "Think about the reason you are up there on that stage.
"For me, being in the final was a massive blur, but you're on the go that much that you don't have time to think. As soon as you hear the roar of that crowd, that's enough to make you want to sing that 10% more and just absolutely bring it on that stage."
In the final, the remaining acts get to perform with a famous artist. Sam performed 'And I Am Telling You' with judge Nicole Scherzinger.
Recalling that moment, Sam says: "I just wanted to go out and sing. With Nicole, no-one's ever heard her sing like that. Me, Nicky and Luke all had some amazing people. I think Nicole definitely tipped it; she was the tip of the iceberg. She was amazing and the song choice was a massive factor as well."
This week, Andrea topped our poll, which asked fans who should win the ITV competition.
Sam says everyone has an equal chance of winning: "Andrea's such a sweet guy and it's true, he does love a cuddle! I'm in awe of his voice. He's got an amazing voice, but I don't think he's had his chance to shine. I don't think he's had the opportunity to come out of his comfort zone yet."
