Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé score early Grammy nominations

Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus and Beyoncé are among the early nominees for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Nominations in a handful of categories were revealed at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles this morning, which saw Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran making the announcement.

Ariana is a first time nominee.

And they ended up announcing their own names!


Ed will battle Ariana, Miley, Katy Perry, Coldplay and Sam Smith in the 'Best Pop Vocal Album' category, while Pharrell is up against artists including Beyoncé and Chris Brown for 'Best Urban Contemporary Album'.

It was a very good morning for British singer-songwriter Sam, who also landed a nomination in the big 'Record of the Year' category for his track 'Stay With Me', and a nod in the 'Best pop solo performance' category.

More nominations will be revealed throughout the day.

The Grammys take place February 2015.
